Last Friday, April 6, the Association of Spanish Researchers in the Italian Republic (ASIERI) brought together Spanish and Italian researchers at the Tor Vergata University in Rome. The session, co-organized by ASIERI and the Dipartimento di studi letterari, filosofici e di storia dell'arte (ALEF) of the Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata", counted with the collaboration and support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Ministry of Education of the Embassy of Spain in Italy.
On February 15th, FECYT organized the panel “The rol of researchers in open science and open innovation” in the Transfiere Forum. The goal of the session was to discuss with a number of researchers and innovators that have developed part of their careers outside academia and/or are exploring open science and innovation, their own experiences and impressions about their careers and the challenges they are facing.
On February 8 and 9, the University of Cantabria celebrated its European Research Area Career Day. Under the slogan "Design your future", the Santander International Entrepreneurship Center (CISE), organizer of the event, invited students and researchers to learn about opportunities and alternatives in researchers career.
On the 23rd and 24th of November, the University of Zaragoza organized the conference “Opportunities for the researchers of the XXI century”. The main goal of the conference was to offer information to students and young researchers about the professional options they have.
FECYT is the national coordinator of EURAXESS, an initiative launched in 2004 by the European Commission in support of mobile researchers in which 40 countries currently participate. EURAXESS provides support on practical issues that incoming researchers face when arriving at the country.
